Bill Jouris, our Chief Financial Officer and Co-founder, is a recognized leader in the field of computer performance measurement and analysis. Bill specializes in performance analysis, measurement, monitoring, tuning, and troubleshooting of large enterprise computing systems and applications.

Bill started his career working as a systems programmer for Bank of America in San Francisco. He quickly moved into the newly developing world of performance measurement, analysis and tuning.

In 1984, Bill was recruited by Kaiser Permanente Northern California to create their first performance management group. In addition to setting up their monitoring processes, he built the performance and tuning staff by training several members of the Systems staff in performance analysis and tuning techniques. He later moved to Charles Schwab & Co., working in their performance analysis group.

Bill joined Inside Products, Inc. in 2005 to run their sales and marketing efforts. In 2009, he assumed overall responsibility for Operations. He has also worked on product design and development for some of their monitoring products.

Bill has been member of the Computer Measurement Group (the primary professional organization for computer performance and capacity planning) since its inception in 1974 and on the CMG Board from 2013-2015. He was the founding Chair of the Northern California regional group, and held various positions within CMG, including serving as the General Chair for CMG’s annual conference in 2010.

Bill has been a member of ICANN since 2015.  He was part of the Latin Generation Panel for the Project on the Internationalization of Domain Names, and in 2022 was elected by the North America Region as their representative on the At Large Advisory Committee (ALAC).
